To honour one of the world’s most beloved comic strip characters, Bamford London have created two new Bamford GMT London watches featuring the world’s most famous beagle, Snoopy.
The new timepieces celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Peanuts Gang will be made in a numbered limited edition 70 pieces – Charles Schulz’s classic Peanuts comic strip began publication in October 1950.
The first design features Superhero Snoopy wearing a cape with his arms making up the watch’s hour and minute hands. Snoopy’s faithful sidekick, Woodstock, makes up the second hand and a striking splash of yellow, completes a delightfully whimsical statement underpinning the mechanical excellence of the Bamford GMT.
The second design, more traditional but no less impressive, shows Snoopy as fans know him. The iconic character is surrounded by a black and white bezel. Snoopy’s arms again make up the hour and minute hands with Woodstock again, counting the seconds precisely.
Finally, each watch is presented in Snoopy’s famous red doghouse, ensuring that this timepiece is firmly rooted in the Peanuts brand and perfect for any Peanuts fan.
I have been the biggest fan of Peanuts and Snoopy for the longest time. These designs were chosen because of the timelessness and playfulness of Snoopy and Woodstock. The chance to work with Charles Schulz’s creation and join the 70th anniversary celebrations was too important to pass up.
