Bamford London has extended its GMT range with a new 50-piece limited edition, in collaboration with André Saravia – alter ego graffiti tag, Mr A – that smiles its way around the dial.
André Saraiva first started spray painting Mr. A in Paris during the 1990’s as his symbol of identity, and this iconic graffiti tag can now be seen on walls all around the world. His latest platform is the Bamford London GMT watch. The smiley face winks at its wearer as it rotates around the centre of the dial, replacing the traditional seconds hand and making a full rotation every minute.

Street graffiti has become increasingly more desirable and valuable over recent years, in the same way customisation is an increasingly important part of the watch retail experience. Bamford London and its sister company, Bamford Watch Department have been doing it for nearly 20-years and this timepiece is no exception in demonstrating how individuality in design and style, and ultimately collaborating to create a timepiece which brings expertise and vision together.

The Mr A x Bamford London GMT features a French blue dial and rotating bezel with white markers including the text ‘ANDRE PARIS’ and star symbol on the dial. The red and white Mr A graffiti tag functions as the seconds hand, the white accents continue on the hour and minute hands. A splash of red features on the GMT triangle hand, showing a separate time zone. The whole design is encased in titanium and comes on a blue cordura strap with red and white stitch. There is also a custom rubber strap in French blue available. The circular Mr A face is replicated in a bespoke embroidered packaging, also featuring the dial design and colourways.
