To support its ambassador Aurélien Ducroz, double world champion in freeride skiing and navigator, Michel Herbelin has created an automatic timepiece, designed to withstand the most extreme situations: the Newport Regatta Carbon Chronograph.
Distinguished by its design, horological by its complications, technical by its forged carbon material, this sporty model is produced in a limited series of 300 numbered pieces worldwide. Also made of solid carbon, the dial is enhanced by its marbled and grooved black background which adds greatly to the dynamic data display.
Associating carbon with Newport DNA – central fasteners of the bracelet, porthole-style bezel adorned with screws reminiscent of sailboat winches, marine wheel stamped on the crown, hands in the shape of floating pavilions and indexes inspired by boat hulls – gives this timepiece a strong personality, recognisable at first glance.
Embedding with an exclusive Michel Herbelin mechanical movement with automatic winding, Swiss-made (Sellita 13 ¼ SW501 BV a), oscillating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and equipped with 25 jewels, the Newport Chronograph Regatta Carbon benefits from a power reserve of 48 hours. Its transparent case-back reveals an oscillating weight engraved with Côtes de Genève finishes.
