Mr Jones Watches Latest Creation Celebrate The Great Outdoors

The new limited edition watch from Mr Jones Watches is a love letter to hiking and the great outdoors.

Launching just in time for the warmer months, Silver Moon Over Cuillin Skye encourages its wearer to grab their hiking boots, ditch the city for a weekend and explore all the countryside has to offer.

The printing team at Mr Jones Watches used a mixture of airbrushing and gilding techniques to create the beautiful landscape on the watch face.

To read the time, a flock of shimmering birds point to the minutes. The hours can be seen on the top half of the watch, where a golden sun travels from left to right (6am to 6pm). After 6pm, the sun is replaced by a silver moon.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the design, Paul Wardski said: “A couple of years ago, I took a camping trip to the Isle of Skye to capture some of the magnificent landscapes for a screen print series. The Isle of Skye moved me in a way few places ever have. Its raw, untamed beauty, where mountains fall into the sea, and mist weaves through ancient glens. felt timeless.

Standing amidst the jagged Cuillin peaks and gazing across the windswept moors, I was struck by a sense of enduring rhythm, of nature’s quiet but relentless passage of time. This inspired me to create a watch that captures more than just hours and minutes; it reflects the soul of a landscape shaped over millennia. To me, this piece is a tribute to a landscape where time slows down, and every moment feels eternal.”

Silver Moon Over Cuillin Skye will be available from 8am (BST) on Wednesday 2nd July for just 24 hours, exclusively from Mr Jones Watches website.

The Designer

Paul Wardski is an Artist born in London and residing in Vienna. Specialising in screen-printing and photolithography, Wardski’s works typically encompass landscapes from found articles, using ephemera and reworking books. Using landscapes from found articles with hand-painted elements, creating colourful and interesting works of art full of texture, mixed media hand-painted elements, mono print and found imagery.

Paul is especially interested in places that have been forgotten or left behind, overgrown gardens, or empty interiors. These scenes are often based on memories or old photographs.
