The Combat collection is true to size with its 32mm case size while featuring a raft of modern day upgrades. From the Swiss Ronda 763 Movement to the Double Domed Mineral Glass with Anti-Reflective Coating, Presides have successfully updated the A-11 legacy to the modern age.
The A-11 Combat dial is a direct re-edition of the original A-11 designs meant to equip soldiers in battle. To that effect, the dial is uncluttered and extremely legible no matter the conditions. However, they’ve gone further than the originals and upgraded the lume to make sure that you can read the time in low-light environments.
As seen on this original A-11 (above), the crystal features a domed acrylic design; common and cheap to manufacture at the time. The drawback of acrylic-based crystals was how easy they were to scratch. On the new A-11, this has been upgraded from the original by using a Double Domed K1 Mineral Crystal. This allows the retention of the original domed design while greatly improving scratch resistance.
