SDC Watches vision is to create luxury dive watches which combine the practical elements of up-cycled materials to reduce waste and protect the oceans we all love.
The OceanRider Collection embraces the heritage of the ocean and innovation of the future. The dials come in four colour ways; Black – representing the Black Tip Shark, White – representing the Great White shark, Blue – representing the Blue shark and Grey – representing the Silky Grey shark.
All four models feature a 42mm case crafted from 316L stainless steel and a black ceramic bezel. The dial is fully luminous and features OceanRider highlighted in red. The polished hour and minute hands feature BGW9 Swiss Super-Lumi Nova. The seconds hand features a varnished red to enhance visibility.
The watch is powered by the fully Automatic Japanese Seiko NH35 movement and features an exhibition case back design.
Interestingly, and perhaps what makes SDC stand out from their competitors, the watch is fitted with their unique SDC straps made from using up-cycled wetsuits. As you’d expect, the watch is water-resistant up to 300m/1000ft (or 30 bar).
It is presented in a sleek and stylish watch box which uses 100% biodegradable and sustainable FSC sourced materials, including a natural water-based vegan friendly glue. The foam inserts can be removed if not required and are fully recyclable.
With 5% of every sale being donated to Marine Conservation Society via Work for Good and the stylish good looks of the OceanRider collection, what’s not to like.
