MB&F opened a bold new chapter in its automotive-inspired saga with the launch of the HM8 Mark 2 back in 2023.

The HM8 Mark 2 journey began with the original in pristine white—an enduring edition still in production. In 2023, a discreet yet unmistakably refined British racing green version followed, strictly limited to 33 pieces. Then came the 2024 high-gloss blue edition, also capped at 33. Now, in 2025, MB&F introduces the latest chapter: the HM8 Mark 2 Purple—a striking collector’s piece limited once again to just 33 examples worldwide.

Clad in bold, vibrant purple bodywork, this new edition evokes the shimmering depth of bespoke supercar finishes. Its brilliance is achieved through metallic pigments of mineral origin, expertly blended into translucent resin via a proprietary process that balances heat, timing, and motion to perfection—ensuring both visual depth and material integrity.

For collectors, the HM8 line is not just about aesthetic nods to automotive design—it embodies it. Founder Maximilian Büsser’s childhood fascination with supercars is deeply etched into MB&F’s DNA. From the 1970s-inspired HM5, to the 10th anniversary HMX, and the raw motorsport essence of the HM8 ‘Can-Am’, each model is a chapter in a continuing legacy. The HM8 Mark 2 unites this lineage, fusing the sculptural form of the HM5, the compact sophistication of the HMX, and the exposed mechanics of the HM8 into one high-performance horological machine.

Crafted from a futuristic trio of CarbonMacrolon©, grade 5 titanium, and intricately machined sapphire crystal, the HM8 Mark 2 is a supercar for the wrist—sleek, bold, and technically uncompromising. Its signature lateral time displayallows for easy time reading without removing your hands from the wheel, underscoring its driver-centric design.
Inside beats a highly sophisticated automatic movement, featuring horizontal hour and minute discs that are optically magnified and vertically projected using precisely engineered sapphire crystal prisms—a fusion of mechanical ingenuity and optical precision.

The HM8 Mark 2 Purple is offered at CHF 68,000 + VAT (USD 88,000 / EUR 74,000 + taxes). With just 33 pieces available globally, it’s not merely a timepiece—it’s a milestone for collectors who appreciate the rare union of avant-garde horology and automotive artistry.
