Blackout Watches is a contemporary watchmaking brand that merges Swiss craftsmanship with Asian components to create high-quality, accessible timepieces.

Originally founded in 2006 by Fabrice Letellier, a passionate collector of premium Swiss watches, a former European racing driver and luxury car customiser. The Blackout brand initially gained recognition for customising high-end watches in matte black finishes, reflecting Letellier’s automotive aesthetic.

In 2022, entrepreneurs Étienne Rousseaux and Tymothy Plubeau revitalised the brand, steering it towards producing original models that embody both technical excellence and bold design. Their flagship model, the XP1 Tourbillon(above), exemplifies this new direction. The watches are assembled in Geneva under the supervision of master watchmaker David (below), who has experience with renowned brands like Rolex and Patek Philippe.

Blackout Watches’ unique approach involves sourcing components and movements from Asia, which are then meticulously inspected and, if necessary, modified in their Swiss workshops before assembly. This strategy allows them to offer timepieces that combine beauty, reliability, and impeccable finishes at accessible prices.

The brand’s collections, such as the XP1 Tourbillon and the P-One (below), are characterised by sporty luxury and sleek black designs. Their commitment to quality and innovation has attracted attention from notable figures, including soccer player Allan Saint-Maximin.

With a blend of daring aesthetics and Swiss precision, Blackout Watches continues to redefine modern watchmaking, making luxury timepieces more accessible to a broader audience.
