Greubel Forsey Start New Chapter For GMT Balancier Convexe

Greubel Forsey presents the latest chapter in its pursuit of horological perfection: a new interpretation of the GMT Balancier Convexe, now more refined, wearable, and technically accomplished than ever before. This is not merely a timepiece—it is a transformation.

Though it shares its name with an earlier model, this creation marks a profound evolution. The newly sculpted, more compact convex case ensures optimal comfort on the wrist, while a seamlessly integrated power reserve adds functional elegance. Every detail has been revisited with heightened precision, delivering unmatched technical and aesthetic harmony.

At its heart, the signature terrestrial globe remains—a breathtaking miniature Earth that rotates in real time over 24 hours, now showcased within an architectural amphitheatre that rises to meet the sapphire crystal. Encircling this kinetic sculpture are meticulously layered displays: local time, universal time, a second time zone, and an intuitive day/night indicator—all presented with Greubel Forsey’s uncompromising dedication to depth, dimension, and legibility.

The mechanical drama of the GMT Balancier Convexe continues with one of Greubel Forsey’s most iconic signatures: the 30˚ inclined balance wheel, suspended in space beneath a flawlessly black-polished steel bridge. This hypnotic regulating organ is flanked by a refined small seconds display, each element playing its part in a dial layout that is as precise as it is poetic.

Enhancing both performance and visual symmetry, a newly integrated 72-hour power reserve is seamlessly embedded into the composition—an innovation that adds utility without disturbing the harmonious equilibrium of the dial.

Encasing this intricate choreography is Greubel Forsey’s unmistakable Convexe case, crafted from lightweight titanium and newly refined in form. With a diameter of 42.9 mm at the caseband, it delivers superior ergonomics while preserving the bold architectural language collectors have come to revere.

The domed sapphire crystal, three-dimensional bezel, and integrated lugs speak to a sculptural sensibility—each curve and angle meticulously considered. Offered on a matching titanium bracelet or a hand-sewn rubber strap, the watch transcends utility to become wearable art. For the connoisseur, it is not simply a timepiece—it is a declaration of mechanical mastery.
