This magnificent skeletonised Poljot International chronograph is dedicated to the memory of Tsar Nicolai II.
It recalls the glamorous era and extravagant lifestyle of the last Russian Tsar from the Romanov Dynasty, who was recognised as a saint in the Russian Orthodox Church. For this reason, a crown proudly adorns the model at the 12 o’clock position, adorned with a small blue stone in sapphire-like appearance, symbolising the elegance and grandeur of the timepiece.
Underneath the sapphire glass lies a modern skeletonised dial, beautifully showcasing the inner workings of the movement with emphasis on the balance wheel and mainspring through small apertures at 5 and 11 o’clock. The dial is designed in two tones: silver-white, rose gold-white, and champagne-white. The Roman numerals lend additional historical significance to the dial. Blued hands create a visual connection to the stone in the crown.
The case presents itself with a finely brushed finish on the sides, while the bezel and case back are polished. This creates an appealing contrast and harmonious interplay of opposites. The front is equipped with curved sapphire glass, while the back features a transparent case back providing a view of the hand-wound skeletonised chronograph movement with intricate engravings. The generously knurled crown ensures easy and comfortable winding of the watch.
The elegant calfskin leather strap in crocodile style complements the overall traditional look and harmonises seamlessly with the overall concept. With a limited production of only 100 pieces, this model is truly a desirable collector’s item.
