Bamford opens a new chapter in its history of collaboration with the New Jersey native, fostering the delicate, yet powerful strokes of Lang’s work, a leitmotif to Americana. The central ethos of his work contemplates skulls, birds, and reapers – a complex love letter to the American Dream – underscored by Lang’s autobiographical experience of the country he calls home.

The Bamford Watch Department x Wes Lang Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph harmonises two cultures, two graphic codes, but one vision – the impact of the Carrera’s canvas. A model that embodies the exhilaration of speed and the magnitude of the race car, the frenetic energy of Lang’s sketches correlates with the nature of Jack Heuer’s dauntless spirit.
While Lang primarily renders his sketches on paper, through this collaboration, the dial is his newest medium, shifting his agency into an 18-karat rose gold case, enunciating the 42mm gilt dial. A recurring illustration through Lang’s work takes centre stage at 6 o’clock; a salute to the race car, depicting a tyre adorned with wings and a flaming skull, a decadent continuation of his vision and his memento mori drawings.
Inside the BWD x Wes Lang Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph you will find a Calibre Heuer 02 movement, with 33 jewels, 28,000 VpH and a dexterous 80 hours power reserve. The Automatic Chronograph has a 14.4mm case thickness, with a bold 42mm diameter. With an 18ct Rose Gold case back, sapphire crystal enclosure and 100m/10 ATM water resistance, BWD equip the model with two 22mm lugs, in further continuation of rose gold, at 2 and 4 o’clock respectively, with a central ribbed crown at 3 o’clock.
The BWD x Wes Lang Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph is enclosed in a wooden case (above), engraved with the ritualistic homage to the intricate design on the dial.
