HERBELIN celebrates their iconic Newport model’s 35th anniversary by unveiling the Newport Chronograph Automatic 35th Anniversary Edition.
While remaining identical to the original model in terms of colour code – silver, gold, blue – this timepiece has been subtly redesigned to bring it right up to date. Powered by an automatic chronograph movement, it is released as a limited edition of 350 numbered pieces worldwide.

For this anniversary edition, the 42 mm two-tone case in steel and steel with yellow gold PVD coating has been refined in the extreme. The circular-brushed steel bezel, sculpted on the underside, retains its original flat surface and houses a sapphire crystal in glass box relief to accentuate the finesse of the timepiece. The dial, decorated with the famous Newport blue sun-ray, emphasises the bevelled hour markers, evoking the geometric construction of a boat’s hull. Punctuated by a ship’s wheel at twelve o’clock, identical to the original logo of the very first Newport, they highlight an extremely precise minute track on the encircling flange.
There is a smart tachymeter scale engraved and inked in black on the Newport-branded bezel, this chronograph can measure average travel speeds ranging from 60 to 400 km/hour. It features a date aperture at 6 o’clock, while the faceted hour and minute hands move in time with a central seconds hand.
This HERBELIN watch is fitted with a crocodile-print blue leather strap, rounded in the middle, and is water-resistant to 100 metres. It presents a Swiss-made self-winding movement, a mark of reliability and precision. Oscillating at 28,000 vibrations per hour and incorporating 27 jewels, it has a 62-hour power reserve. Its oscillating weight with HERBELIN engraving is visible through the transparent case-back.
