The Certina DS Action GMT Powermatic 80 is a perfect fit for today’s global travellers. Combining stylish design with advanced functionality, the new model sports a distinctly contemporary look and feel: the black dial features Super-LumiNova® luminous highlights on the hour markers, 12 o’clock triangle, and hour, minute and 24-hour hands.
The robust 41-mm stainless steel case is fitted with a screw-down and protected crown and a screw-in case back with sapphire crystal insert. The bi-directional turning bezel is also fashioned in scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and features a 24-hour scale in white set off by a coloured background. A key benefit for the world traveller: hour, minute and second hands display the time of day/night in the traveller’s home time zone, while a slim green pointer with luminous white arrowhead indicates the time at destination.
The truly adventurous voyager can also check the time at an additional destination by using the bi-directional bezel to indicate the number of hours difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT offset) – all while monitoring the time back home.
Ticking at the heart of the new watch is the proven Powermatic 80 automatic movement, offering maximum flexibility and reliable accuracy backed by an exceptional 80-hour power reserve. This cutting-edge calibre is fitted with a NivachronTM balance spring for enhanced protection against magnetic fields. The new DS Action GMT Powermatic 80 comes in three versions, all worn with a stainless steel bracelet or leather strap, easily switched thanks to Certina’s quick-change system.
